In today's assembly, elections were held for the leaders who will lead the Majlis for the next three years and the following 14 executive committee members were elected.
Among the executive members, Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tufa as president, Sheikh Abdulkarim Sheikh Bedardin and Abdulaziz Abdulwale as vice president and Sheikh Hamid Musa as secretary general, ESA report indicates.
In his message, the elected president, Sheikh Ibrahim Tufa, said that the election was a historic election in a free and fair manner without interference from any party.
He expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the peaceful completion of the election.
Sheikh Ibrahim Tufa, who stated that they have been given a great responsibility, confirmed that they will work diligently in maintaining the unity of the Muslim people.
They called upon the Muslim people to stand by their side and help them in prayer.
The observers of the election said that the election was a historic and correct election process that followed an independent, fair and democratic process.
